Origami Experience 2.0

Origami Picture PasswordI just came across these screenshots of the second version of the Origami Project (used with UMPC's as a  suite of software). This just looks really awesome, it actually makes me want an UMPC! Only thing though is their not available in my region in cool designs Sad.

Origami Information CenterOne of the cool features is the fact that you can use a picture to enter your password. The way this works is you can select an image and select several area's on it which represent some meaning to you. This makes it fun, easy and secure to login with your fingers as an input 'device' Tongue out.

For more information check out the Microsoft's official Origami website and the cool thing is, their's also a demo Open-mouthed.

Windows Mobile 7 To Focus On Touch and Motion Gestures

Wow, Windows Mobile 7 is still a long time away, but already I cannot wait to use it!

Windows Mobile 7 will dramatically change the way we use mobile devices. It will emphasize the use of touch on the device, as well as motion gestures created by using the device. It is, absolutely, Microsoft’s effort to beat back the iPhone, and the iPhone is referenced several times in the document.

Windows Mobile 7 will use touch gestures, similar to how the iPhone does. You will be able to flick through lists, pan, swipe sideway, draw on the screen. A lot of emphasis has been put on making navigation easier and doing away with scrollbars, including a new scroll handle that allows for multiple ways of finding items extremely fast.

The list goes on and on, so go take a look and judge for yourself...
